Stuck on what to wear to your senior session? Keep scrolling down to view a section of my Senior Style Guide for FREE! I will also be sharing why September, October and November are some of the BEST months to book your session!
Senior Resources are something that I love building! I have a FULL Senior Style Guide for my Class of 2019-2020 Seniors! I give tips on what to wear to your session, how to add variety in our outfits, what to expect at our time togethers, and I even throw in a few make up/hair tips!
Beginning in September, the weather is still quite hot in Oklahoma but you have a few days in the 70’s which is super nice! As soon as October hits it seems like there is a big shift in the temps and you are ready (and excited) to throw on your sweaters, boots and beanies! Even if it is only 65 degrees!
I like to think this is the perfect time frame for photos because you can have SO much variety in your senior session! You can start with a super cute summer dress in the sunflowers (add jean jacket to change looks without even changing).
And then quickly throw on a sweater to make it look like it is full on FALL!!
Lauren was the perfect example of showing the variety you can have in your session! As November gets closer you might be a little colder with a summer dress on but you can still have variety in our outfits and the locations you choose! If you LOVE photos in nature this is also a perfect time because you still have green areas, trees changing colors and you can also get more muted tones as well! (You can view another FREE resource below to see the + and – of booking this time of year!)
Now what you all have been waiting for!! My FREE resource to you all for being here!
Here is it!
4. PLAY WITH TEXTURES
Sometimes textures like sequins, furs and sparkles can be considered “daring” or “over the top” but, in portraits, they are the BEST! Adding texture to your outfit makes the biggest difference, and it prevents the images from looking dull! A few textures you might not normally wear but look amazing in photos are: sequins, denim, cable knit sweaters, velvet, tull, leather jacket or fur make for GREAT options!
