Colorful Esperanza Ranch Oklahoma Wedding
Wedding Highlights: When I think of the Ponder wedding I immediately think of their ceremony. I doubt there was a dry eye during their vows. Macee and Dillon chose to do quite a few Scottish traditions on their big day to recognize Dillon’s Scottish heritage.
1. Quaich ceremony – the bride and groom each take a drink of whiskey out of the quaich bowl. It symbolizes togetherness and trust.
2. Bagpipes played as they exited their ceremony.
3. Dillon’s grandmother led a traditional Scottish dance during their reception.
The Ponder reception was just as full of full details. Macee is a wedding photographer as well and since she has attended many weddings she knew she wanted her wedding to be different. She thought of things that she hadn’t seen at another wedding. Their reception included a food truck, bounce house, cheesecake dessert shooters, and a caricature artist!

In 2021 Macee was diagnosed with Metastatic Thyroid Cancer. Her scars are proudly shown to signify the road she went on this past year. What an incredible warrior!
Macee casually just created a whole custom newspaper as the program. GENIUS!
Macee surprised Dillon by learning the song she walked down the aisle to on the violin. The song was recorded and played as she walked toward him. He was so surprised!
As you can see in the top left corner of the photo, the bagpipes were played as they exited their ceremony!
Macee’s dad created a “rap” to surprise the couple. As you can tell on Macee + Dillon’s faces it was histeracle.
We finished off the night with the most original idea I have seen at a wedding. A caricature picture was a gift for all the guests.
